Immunization tips:

1. If your baby is not feeling well (e.g. he/she has a fever), you should wait until he/she has recovered before you arrange for any immunization shots.
2. Immunization for polio is in oral form, so you can either place the pill in your baby's mouth until it dissolves or take with water. You should avoid feeding water to your baby for about 2 hours afterwards. If your baby only partly ingests the pill, then a booster should be taken within 2 weeks.
3. After each immunization, you should let your baby rest and not involve him/her in any energetic activity.
4. Your baby may experience a light fever, tiredness, loss of appetite or crankiness after an immunization shot. These are normal reactions, and by keeping your baby warm and well-hydrated, he/she should soon return to his/her normal routine. If your baby experiences a high fever or an allergic reaction, you should consult a physician immediately.
